Behind the Seams, an Interview with Suzie Harman

Jeremy’s chat with British costume designer Suzie Harman further illustrates the importance of passion for building a successful career in today’s highly-competitive film and TV environment.

Having graduated with a degree in graphic design, an opportunity in fashion led her to create costumes for commercials, photoshoots and low-budget feature and TV productions.

Her collaborations with directors at the early stages of their careers included Guy Ritchie, Lenny Abrahamson and Paul Greengrass, and these strong bonds led to successive return productions. Suzie’s extensive work with director Armando Iannucci has brought substantial acknowledgement, multiple awards and deep personal satisfaction, including productions as diverse as ‘The Death of Stalin’, ‘The Personal History of David Copperfield’ and most recently ‘Avenue 5’ for HBO.
